Dissociative Seizures and a good dose of M.E

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E) or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (C.F.S) as it’s also known has taken over my life, but whilst many people have heard of it not many know what it really is and the devastating impact it has on it’s sufferers and their families.

ME/CFS is a long term, chronic neurological condition that fluctuates and affects suffers in different ways, causing symptoms mainly in the nervous and immune systems.

One persons experience of ME/CFS may vary greatly to another’s, and even as a sufferer your own journey may vary greatly over the years….and yes, we are talking years.

The common symptom that we all have is overwhelming fatigue, similar to that experienced when one has the flu – proper flu. An inability to do much at all without complete exhaustion, a need to sleep for hours upon hours and still not feeling refreshed.
